The K-9 Teams
Search and Rescue Dogs
Search and rescue dogs (SAR K-9’s) are highly trained canines used to locate missing persons, disaster victims, or evidence in a variety of environments. These dogs rely on their acute sense of smell, hearing, and agility to perform critical tasks in challenging conditions. SAR dog teams are specialized based on their training and the type of search they conduct. We currently have three types of dog teams
Air-scent Dogs: These dogs detect human scent carried by the wind and are effective in large, open areas like forests or mountains. They do not require a specific scent article to track.
Tracking/Trailing Dogs: These dogs follow a specific person's scent trail, using scent articles like clothing to guide them along the exact path the person took.
Cadaver (HRD) Dogs: Trained to detect human remains, these dogs are crucial in recovery efforts in crime scenes or disasters.
Each of our K-9 teams plays a unique role, and their specialized skills are essential in search and rescue operations worldwide.
The Ropes Rescue Team
Backcountry Technical Ropes Rescue
Backcountry ropes rescue teams specialize in performing technical rescues in challenging and remote terrain.
Using advanced rope systems, these highly trained teams safely access and extract individuals from steep cliffs, rugged mountains, and other hazardous environments.
Their expertise combines climbing skills, rigging techniques, and wilderness navigation to conduct efficient and safe rescues in areas where conventional methods are not possible.
Swiftwater Rescue Team
Our swiftwater rescue teams are specially trained responders skilled in rescuing individuals from fast-moving water environments such as rivers, floods, and rapids. These teams are also trained in ice rescue
Equipped with inflatable boats, specialized gear and techniques, they navigate hazardous currents to perform rescues, recover victims, and ensure the safety of both rescuers and those in danger.
